Müller Messebau GmbH certified as "Sustainable Company powered by FAMAB"

March-Hugstetten, the 17.05.2013: The issue of sustainability is becoming increasingly important around the world. This also applies to the exhibition and event industry. To work sustainably, the international company Müller Messebau GmbH (www.mueller-messebau.de), the branch of Mueller International Services Inc., went through a certification process ’Sustainable Company powered by FAMAB’.

In a pilot project FAMAB (Association of Direct Business Communications e.V.) has with the two established partners CO2OL and Viabono developed standards for sustainability in the live communication industry. Concretely were - according to industry requirements - eleven sustainability-related divisions identified as standard.  These standards contain a number of specific measures for sustainable management. Finally, a company is only allowed to call itself, Sustainable Company powered by FAMAB ', if it is ‘State of the art' regarding (for example) the context of energy use, waste prevention and mobility as well as the employee responsibility.

That sustainability and a certificate can’t be taken for granted, the CEO of Müller Messebau GmbH Matthias Glaser wants to point out: "As an international operating company we have set ourselves the responsibility and prepared us throughout the past year for the certification as "Sustainable Company powered by FAMAB". Now in 2013, we hold the certificate in our hands and are very proud!” Besides to the sentimental value and pursuit of a company such as the Müller Messebau GmbH to sustainability, there are also funded reasons for the certification: "We feel an increased pressure from our customers for sustainable work and therefore wanted to respond with a realistic certification, suited to our industry. “That’s the reason for our decision for the FAMAB certificate”, says Managing Director Matthias Glaser.
